Back in 2007, MoveOn.org and John Edwards championed a boycott of FOX News, since any democrat going on the program would lend it legitimacy. And just this last month, both Clinton and Obama broke that boycott by appearing on The O'reilly Factor and FOX News Sunday respectively. And this was after Hillary (rightfully) trashed MoveOn and Daily Kos for being champions of smear attacks, hate-mongering, and intimidation. The leftist activists, naturally, were not pleased.
Having said that, does anyone else see this as a good development? I don't want to see the radicals at MoveOn.org setting the tone for America. And I think anyone being backed up by these folks is doomed to failure. After all, the radical left-wingers behind MoveOn failed to get an unpopular Bush kicked out of office in 2004. And we already see what a bangup job they did for Edwards this year. I think the American people are also tired of BS like Daily Kos and MoveOn activism. Is anyone else glad that the radical left-wingers like MoveOn.org and Daily Kos are losing power?
MoveOn and Daily Kos are gaining power, not losing it. And it will get worse if Obama is nominated.
Anyone who doesn't think these guys are champions of smear attacks need only recall the words ';General Betray Us';Is anyone else glad that the radical left-wingers like MoveOn.org and Daily Kos are losing power?
I see what you mean. If the Democratic Party functional ceases to exist, then the power of left wing groups becomes null and void.
Yes I think you may be right, the era of the oldest political party in America may be over.
Moveon.org is still very strong. The Clintons are putting out the propaganda that they are not, because they are not supporting her.
(any thumbs downs represent the anger of the Clinton supporters. hahahahahah)
YES
What power?
Yes, these evildoers should be on the FBI watch list
No.
If they were I would be sad., and not glad But they aren't
yes, those kooks are Not good for my party.
extremist are never a good thing
1. No, I'm not.
2. No, they're not.
Your opinion of MoveOn and Daily Kos has obviously been formed exclusively by Bill O'Reilly, and it doesn't square with the facts. MoveOn is simply a grassroots organization set up to support certain political issues. It is no different than the NRA or the AMA in that regard. You don't have to agree with their positions, of course, but please at least be factual in writing about them. They definitely do not champion smear attacks, hate-mongering or intimidation. You could look at their website yourself and you would see what I mean.

How many more polls would Obama drop below 50% using Rush's & Daily Kos admitted tactic 2 keep him above 50%?
It was almost undoubtedly coincidental, but a sequence of events occurring over the past few days has put quite a bit of egg on the face of the most venerable pollster in the game: Gallup. Apparently, Rush Limbaugh decided recently to mix his polling analysis with a little racist speculation:
';Gallup has it [Obama's job approval] just teetering there on the
little teeter-totter at 50%, and they're doing everything they can,
they're upping the sample of black Americans, to keep him at 50% in
the Gallup poll.';
This, of course, is an incredibly serious accusation, and it led to a sharp denial from Gallup polling head Frank Newport on Thursday. But what happened on Friday? Gallup's tracking poll broke the barrier and found Obama at 49%. No word on how many seconds into his broadcast it took for Limbaugh to claim the credit and proclaim his infallibility.

Watch for Obama to start treating Gallop with the same bad treatment as Fox as punishment for reporting the truth. How many more polls would Obama drop below 50% using Rush's %26amp; Daily Kos admitted tactic 2 keep him above 50%?
approval polls don't really matter for the most part, basically they matter leading up to election day...look at clinton, re-elected with 40% approval...that should put a scare in you.
interesting since I have never been polled.

After 3 polls by Rassmusen showing Toomey beating Spector the Daily Kos does 3 polls showing Spector winning?
Reading between the lines on this one can see the Far Far Farthest Left website the Daily Kos is doing damage control to try to prop up an image that Spector is not in trouble of getting kicked to the curb when in fact he really is. It also shows desperation on the part of the Daily Kos to do anything to try to ensure Judas Spector wins so he can become the new Far Left poster boy.

I hope Spector is kicked to the curb.. he is a fool and an opportunist.. he would switch to the Nazi party if he thought it would keep him in the seante.. he could care less about the country. After 3 polls by Rassmusen showing Toomey beating Spector the Daily Kos does 3 polls showing Spector winning?
Why doesn't it ever occur to you guys that the Rasmussen polls are always 5-10 points different from other polls, always favoring the Republicans?
And perhaps you didn't notice that the separate polls were comparing *three different* races--Specter v. Toomey, Specter v. Sestak and Sestak v. Toomey.
So, what you're really saying is that it took 3 polls to finally get the result Rasmussen wanted...that doesn't suprise me at all.
I'm voting for Sestak in the primaries anyway. Specter is a flipping flopping opportunist.

How often do all House Republicans (plus about 100 Dems) plus the Daily Kos agree on a bill? HR 1207 S 604?
These bills would require a REAL audit of the Fed, even the parts current law forbids Congress from reviewing.
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2009/7…
Here are a few excerpts from the article by a guy who refers to my sort of person as a 'Ron Paul wingnut' -- first he recognizes it is disturbing that Goldman Sachs, sitting at the center of the banking controversy, and a prime donor to Obama will clean up with carbon credits in cap and trade, then says:
';Basically, the thesis is that the Federal reserve has handed out over 8.7 trillion of our money since last October alone, and we're not even allowed to ask who it went to. In fact no one, including Barack Obama, knows where it went. Because it's a secret society. Made of bankers and lizard people. As the video makes quite clear, this is problematic politically for Obama, because he wants to give reserve full regulatory powers to restructure the financial industry.
So, yeah, Mr. President, Mr. Summers, I'm a little concerned.
Then we find out about this effort by the democrats in Congress, diaried here to kill the legislation [ S 604 the Senate version of the Audit the Fed Bill ] to find out where that money went. No doubt with the President's support. Having just seen the video above [ http://www.thenation.com/doc/20090720/fe… ] 24 hours prior to this happening, yeah.
You could say I'm a little bit ashamed to be a democrat.
Proud of Bernie Sanders, though. If he agrees with Ron Paul on this one, it must be bigger than any political party.';
What do you think? How often do all House Republicans (plus about 100 Dems) plus the Daily Kos agree on a bill? HR 1207 S 604?
I agree with it as well. I hope it passes in the House and Senate by big enough majorities that Obama has no choice but to sign it or have his veto overturned.
The Feds and the big banks are spending a lot of money on lobbyists to defeat this. How often do all House Republicans (plus about 100 Dems) plus the Daily Kos agree on a bill? HR 1207 S 604?
';No doubt with the President's support'; you lost all credibility with that assumption, then you compound it by saying ';all house republicans'; are onboard. That's patently false.
It's a good idea, but why do you have to lie and exaggerate and make unsubstantiated claims to try to prove your point?
It is now beyond obvious that the Federal Reserve needs to go. It's fantastic that it is even receiving some criticism from the opposite side of the isle now. And it is much more than a partisan issue.
Barney Frank (D) once said,
“If you take the principles that people are talking about nowadays, such as reforming government and opening up government — the Fed violates it more than any other branch of government.”
And Dick Durbin (D) once said,
';And the banks -- hard to believe in a time when we're facing a banking crisis that many of the banks created -- are still the most powerful lobby on Capitol Hill. And they frankly own the place.';

What DOES it SAY when EVEN the FAR LEFT DAILY KOS REALIZE THAT IF Obama's HEALTH FARE FAILS Obama is GIMPED?
Taken word for word from the Far Left Daily Kos:
Even the GOP wingnut congress gets it: if they break Obama's Health Care Reform initiative, if they break up our coalition, then they've broke his presidency. Just like they did to Clinton. They don't CARE about the polls. Those aren't polls of their redneck-Red Alabama districts. They don't care about the health of the American people. All they care about is politics, about destroying any chance we have at Universal Health Care so that they can weaken Obama's hand.
If you don't remember what happened to Bill Clinton, let me remind you: he came in with a mandate to reform health care. The GOP changed the subject to teh gayz in teh military. The Village played into the GOP's hand, repeating their messages. Bill Clinton took major wounds, his presidency was gimped, and we had 7 years of incrementalism and rear guard actions after that.

I remember that the Health Care deal was in Clinton's first term and that he still got reelected, getting almost 10% more of the popular vote than Dole.
I would reject your claim that Clinton had any mandate to reform health care, he only got 43% of the popular vote, Bush and Perot got 57%. The rest of your comments are also dubious.
I'm glad you are admitting the right's tactics, when they want attention, they bring out the gay issue and it is true, the right certainly doesn't care about the health of the American people. Why are you proud of that?
He sounds a bit scared, which makes me smile...

In the words of the FAR LEFT DAILY KOS if Obama's PLAN FAILS WILL IT be at the HANDS OF BLUE DOG DEMOCRATS?
The Democrats have a chance to accomplish goals they’ve dreamed about since the New Deal. They have 60 seats in the Senate, and a commanding advantage in the House of Representatives. So if they fail to pass certain legislation, Republicans won’t be to blame; Democrats will.

This is particularly true for healthcare reform. Blue dog Mike Ross of Arkansas wrote ';the Blue Dogs are committed to passing health-care reform. However, reform that does not meet the President's goals of substantially bringing down costs is not an option.'; In the Senate, moderates like Evan Bayh, Mary Landrieu, and Kent Conrad are wary of providing a public option, or voting for such a large bill.
Many of these Democrats have already expressed reservation about spending in the past few months. Bayh for his part said Obama’s first budget ';represents an improvement from years past ... [because] money we will borrow will fund important priorities like affordable health care, energy independence, job creation, and education improvements, rather than tax cuts for the most affluent.'; But Bayh could not support it because ';under this budget, our national debt skyrockets from $11.1 trillion today to an estimated $17 trillion in 2014.';
Early on, there was even some Democratic opposition to the stimulus. Eleven Democrats (including six blue dogs) voted against the final bill citing concerns over cost. These concerns have become a recurrent theme as congress contemplated various spending measures.
With a huge deficit already, it’s difficult not to share their reservations about adding still more. Their concerns were bolstered last week when the CBO said the House bill would $230 billion to the budget deficit over 10 years.
Of course there are political calculations at play as well. Many of the Democrats raising concerns come from conservative districts and states that voted for McCain last fall. Their conservative-leaning constituents are concerned about the deficit. Voting for such a large bill could give their opponents an issue to use against them in the 2010 midterm elections.
For its part, the Democratic leadership is in a bind. They can try and cajole these Democrats into voting for the health reform bill by threatening to withhold pork or fundraising. But failing to support Democrats in these vulnerable districts could cause the election of a conservative Republican. Perhaps it’s better to have a Democrat with you 80% of the time, than a Republican who’s never with you, the leadership will reason.
This is not an insignificant development. Blue Dogs hold 52 seats in the Democratic caucus. Moderate Democrats hold the balance of power in the Senate. If even one moderate votes to allow a filibuster, then the Democrats cannot invoke cloture. Something tells me that the Democratic leadership will end up making substantial concessions to this group to keep them all on board.

Did Obama really say that wow...In the words of the FAR LEFT DAILY KOS if Obama's PLAN FAILS WILL IT be at the HANDS OF BLUE DOG DEMOCRATS?
Blah, blah, blah.
Stop ranting.
Anyone ELSE GRABBING POPCORN as MoveON and DAILY KOS START THE FEEDING ON ITS OWN- DEM ON DEM 0-o-0?
Here's the ';Feeding Call'; on the Move on.org page (chuckles)
Call Congress today!
Recently, news broke that the ';Blue Dog'; caucus鈥攁 group of conservative Democrats鈥攊s trying to water down the strong health care plan that the House of Representatives released a few weeks ago.1
Their main target? The public health insurance option鈥攖he heart of real health care reform, supported by 83% of Americans.2
Nothing is more comical to watch then how Move On.Org and the Daily Kos are inviting the Far Left to begin the Feeding on its own.
If your representative is a member of the Blue Dog caucus, they need to hear from you right away. Can you call today and tell them to stand with you and the overwhelming majority of Americans and support a robust public health insurance option?
The public health insurance option is key to helping lower the cost of health care and ensure all Americans have access to coverage. In order to do that, a public plan must be a strong as possible, one that is:
* Part of a broader plan to cover all of us: A strong public health insurance option must be a key piece of a reform plan that will guarantee access to quality health care for everyone in America.
* A national plan with real bargaining clout: In order to truly control costs and compete with private health insurance plans, a strong public health insurance option must be available nationwide with a broad network of providers.
* Ready on day one: Every day we wait on real reform, health care costs continue to rise. A strong public health insurance option right out of the gate is key to building a competitive program that will help control costs.
* A truly public plan: To ensure it's held to the highest standards of accountability, a public health insurance option must be truly publicly run鈥攁ccountable and transparent to Congress and to voters.
We have a once-in-a-generation chance to pass real health care reform this year鈥攁nd it all comes down to the next few weeks. If your member of Congress is part of the Blue Dog caucus, can you call today?
Then fill out the information below and let us know how it went:Anyone ELSE GRABBING POPCORN as MoveON and DAILY KOS START THE FEEDING ON ITS OWN- DEM ON DEM 0-o-0?

Obama's Applied Eugenics (aka OBamacrapcare) is meant to clear the social security rolls of old and sick people and when he gets his amnesty legislation and all the illegals covered, it will guarantee his dictatorship.
And they thought 60 votes would be enough. Like they wouldn't need the Republicans anymore!

Are Hillary supporters being harrassed by Daily Kos?
According to news reports on TV and blogs on talkleft.com and mydd.com, many Clinton supporters are being targeted by Obama supporters in order to drum them out of the blogging communities. If this is happening to you, the two sites above will provide you a site for interaction.
Also, I recommend copying all blogs which appear to be swarm attacks or other attempts to run Clinton supporters off of a blog, then sending these copies to news media and Clinton's site for follow-up.
Let's make sure the world knows what is happening. Vermin always scurry when the lights turn on them! Are Hillary supporters being harrassed by Daily Kos?
Essentially anyone who has an opinion that is anything less that a fawning glowing endorsement of Barack Obama will get plenty of negative feedback.
That is just part of politics.
I recommend that people just accept that is part of life in the political world.
.
This is actually a good place to practice, because when you are out campaigning door to door unless you are in a very unifrom community you will get a lot of abuse.
That is one reason why College students like to campaign for their candidates in the Collge Community but they rarely go outside of the College Community because they cannot or will not take the abuse that you get that goes along with political campaigning.
However if you plan to learn what you are really doing you need to go door to door in comminuites that are actively opposed to you and your candidate.
That means that you are going to be on the receiving end of a great deal of abuse.
That is just part of learning how to be effective in the political environment.
Here what is the worst that can happen to you?
You will get notices of violation, your account may even be suspended or revoked.
That is nothing compared with the abuse that you will have to learn to take if you really want to learn how to be an effecive campaigner in a political campaign. Are Hillary supporters being harrassed by Daily Kos?
Thank you for your support of the Hillary campaign and all you have done to help her.
But, its over, if Obama does not get the Nomination now that he is going into the Convention with the Delegate lead, blacks will riot in the streets and there will be mass chaos.
Its over. I am voting for McCain in November to put a stop to this madness.
So don't turn the lights on Hillary.
I am a Hillary supporter and have worked tremendously with her campaign...
I have met her, lovely lady... and as far as Obama, he is ruining himself...
I donated money, keep up with her strategy and also supported her on super Tuesday here in NYC.
Thanks for your support as well...
you would be surprised at all the people who really support her.

What do you think of Olbermann asking Daily Kos readers to dig up dirt on Beck?
Let's recap: Beck criticizes Van Jones BEFORE Color of Change ever started their boycott. Van Jones RESIGNED at 12:30 on Sunday morning. NOW Keith Olbermann (of MSNBC) is asking his minions to dig up dirt on Beck. Why?? Because that's what ';real'; journalists do...........lol
http://www.politico.com/blogs/michaelcal鈥?/a>
With Glenn Beck getting credit for Van Jones resigning, Keith Olbermann is now asking Daily Kos readers to find out anything they can about the Fox host and others associated with him.
Tuesday we will expand this to the television audience and have a dedicated email address to accept leads, tips, contacts, on Beck, his radio producer [Stu] Burguiere, and the chief of his tv enablers, [Roger] Ailes (even though Ailes' power was desperately undercut when he failed to pull off his phony ';truce'; push).
Olbermann said this action will help ';save this nation from the Oligarhy of The Stupid.'; Since going up yesterday, Olbermann's diary entry had over 1,400 responses by this morning.
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2009/9鈥?/a>What do you think of Olbermann asking Daily Kos readers to dig up dirt on Beck?
Because Olbermann is a desperate shadow of a real commentator who could never win in a debate and therefore has to resort to character assassination to make himself look good. Case in point: how long did it actually take him to come up with the term ';oligarchy of the stupid';, and why have I never heard it come up in conversation since the third grade?
';Real'; journalists investigate appointees to positions unchecked by Congress by an administration beset by woeful vetting mishaps. Olbermann wouldn't last two minutes if he were investigated.
PeaceWhat do you think of Olbermann asking Daily Kos readers to dig up dirt on Beck?
Business as usual for Obama butt-kissers - they want to 'dig up dirt' on everyone except Obama and his buddies. Well, the door swings both ways, and apparently beck doesn't care - it's the old case of why shoot the messenger? Facts are facts, and Obama and his gang should be exposed no matter who does the exposing or what 'dirt' they may have - you can't hide the truth.
What I find hilarious about his plea for help is that he's having to plea. Glenn Beck has been a controversial public figure for a long time now and don't you think for one second that any and all dirt that exists has already been dug up? By his own admission, he's a recovering alcoholic. That certainly can't be used as dirt.
I think that Olberman is basically saying.. ';Help me out, my ratings suck.';
the difference is...Beck does not have a government job. van jones had a govt. job %26amp; is a communist by his own admission %26amp; was calling people @$$holes publicly. see, it doesn't matter if Glen Beck is a recovered alcoholic, he's not in a govt. job, get it?
If you going to take his word, wouldn't it better to find out as much information about him. Perhaps, he has an agenda too? Perhaps, Beck is not an American hero? Always, better to decide for yourself than act as sheep.
I agree! This is just stupid. Beck investigated the man and presented the evidence to his audience. He did his job. Olbermann is just jealous. They should investigate all of these czars.
So Glenn Beck did his research and dug up dirt on Van Jones.
Now Olbermann can't find any dirt on Beck, so is enlisting the aid of Daily Kos?
Sounds like someone needs to go back to journalism school.
It just shows how poor [in quality] MSNBC's research staff is, lol.

as always, anyone who points out the nakedness of emperor Barry the Boob can expect a thorough trashing by the various pinheads who make up the lapdog 0bamedia...the fact that he was the ONLY one in the media to come up with PROOF, in the form of audio and video, of the marxism, racism, 9/11 truthism, and all-around insanity of van jjones, integral part of the 0bama 'brain'trust, has got to have the dolts of the 'world of journalism' SEETHING...after all, he's not even a journalist, and has never claimed to be one, and he was able to get to the truth while our 'independent press' snoozed amid leg tingles
Comrade Commissar Ubermann has promised the Reichsministry of Truth that he would ';Take care of this Beck problem'; He has failed. Failure has it's consequences. Perhaps Comrade Commissar Bayhar would be more effective in that position, after all she has put Mr. Beck ';In his place'; in the past. At least that is how the Reichsministry sees the last time Mr. Beck was on ';The View'; So, Comrade Commissar Ubermann is worried.
I ';suffer'; from schadenfreude, the compulsion to revel in the suffering of others, in my case the suffering of those who would do harm to others, and have their efforts recoil upon themselves. I'm having a merry time !
I think Olbermann is insignificant and is being used by the White House to do their dirty work for them. Yet again Obama will have HIS hands clean and can claim ignorance. Yet AGAIN.
And BTW Olbermann has some audacity talking about ';stupid';.
LOL, this should be great. Before we're done I'm sure those bitter, angry, defeatist, depressed leftists who obsess over the Daily Kos will dig up all kinds of neat stuff, real or imagined. Like the time that Beck got a traffic ticket. Or maybe his HOA sent him a notice about the weed in his front yard after a rainstorm. All kinds of hairy, scary stuff!!
Olbermann is a tool, a complete failure. He peaked when he was goofing off with Dan Patrick on ESPN's Sportscenter.
And never forget the words of ESPN exec Mike Soltys after Olbermann quit ESPN: ';he didn't burn bridges, he napalmed them';.
Beck the alcoholic needs to be exposed for the true degenerate that he is.
I approve. Glen Beck is a fascist. I approve of any hostility coming his way as long as it's within the boundaries of the law. This is legal. If this is childish what Beck does each and every day is childish. I wouldn't qualify it that way though. While I generally don't think it's possible to fight this kind of fire with fire I know not to expect more from the establishment media so I approve and am looking forward to the day Beck resigns.
I find Glen Beck an incredible disturbing character. The hysteria around Van Jones is only the beginning and it's clear Obama will never stand up for what's right so in the mean time I have no problem if Glen Beck gets destroyed by the means he uses himself. I'd prefer someone else to do it over Olberman but it's better than nothing.

Barack H. Obama, has been elected the 44th President of the United States. He was democratically elected by a majority of about 54% of the votes cast. That is a fact. Also a fact, he is an American Citizen, over the age of 35 and qualified to hold the office he was elected into.
I am growing very tired of hearing from the media, so as not to alienate those opposing voices, for fear of losing their viewership, that the basis of all this Obama hate is only racism in a very small amount of these folks. It isn't, there is absolutly no other explaination for the actions and rehetoric that has been racheted up the past 8 months. Those ';leaders'; of this opposition, Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck, are doing all they can to insure that every racist fear these people have is brought to their attention.

So what she is saying is that because Obama was elected with a slight majority..the rest of America is supposed to just sit back and shut up. Sort of like the Dems did for * years.??
Doing my best little Hitler, doing my best!Does this Daily Kos poster calling everyone who disagrees w/ Obama a racist epitomize a Y/A Oboma supporter?
I do believe there is some racism involved, but that does not mean that anyone who disagrees with him is racist.
Some are, some aren't.
Personally, I don't like the Daily Kos any more than I like right wing sources.
The truth is always somewhere in the middle.
Yes, and do not discount the very real likelihood that they ARE a Y/A obot... in fact, I'd bet my Black butt that they are.
Give me a little time, I'll check.
Those that holler ';racism'; are they themselves the true racists I have found.
Daily Kos is over run with idiots.
Oh yes, it can be no other reason than overt racism, there is no way it could be dislike of his policies, or disagreement on how to accomplish something or even what to accomplish.
I mean you never heard a word form the right during eight years of Clinton did you? Or never heard anything from the left during eight years of Bush.
It is a losing tactic of the left to call people who have disagreements with how they believe things should be done, racist. And only those mindless, fall in line socialist leaning people are saying it or actually believe it.
This hopefully will answer this racist question:
Obama taught the Saul Alinsky Rules for Radicals program between 1985 - 1988, where he taught people to be community agitators, reformers and radicals. His wifey is guilty, too.
If you take some time and read Rules for Radicals (which is dedicated to Saul Alinskys favorite radical, SATAN HIMSELF), you will see that there are rules to follow. Rules like whenever you are in a bind with debate on a controversial issue, simply imply or outrightly accuse the people opposing you of being racists. This will, Alinsky says, make people automatically defend themselves against racism and make them look guilty because they are defending themselves.
GEE, DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR? It should, because even during the Campaign when McCain never uttered one word of racism, Obama's cronies still pulled out that racist card on them. The McCains adopted a child of color, and Cindy McCain worked for years with Mother Theresa helping African children, living right there with them in the heat, disease and death........how dared they ever accuse Cindy McCain of racism, but thats how much integrety radical leftys have, so ya cannot expect more from them.
What else does the book suggest? IT SUGGESTS YOU MAKE PEOPLE FEEL SO DOWNTRODDEN, SO FUTURELESS, SO DEPRESSED, SO FORELORN, AND THEN YOU CHANT TO THEM :
HOPE AND CHANGE....HOPE AND CHANGE......I WANT TO GIVE YOU HOPE, AND WE CANNOT DO IT WITHOUT CHANGE.
DO THIS SOUND FAMILIAR? Read the book and get eyes opened.
Mich, hussein obama already reacted to your comment, stating his election was a ';good beginning';... A beginning???? What are all minority millionaires in the USA? thousands of minority congressmen and senators? Supreme Court Justice Thomas? General Powell? Condi Rice? Weren't all of them, for the past 6-7 decades a ';good beginning';???
What a shame! hussein, jessy jackson, al sharpton, reverend wright, rapper west, ophrah and such wipp play race card FOREVER. Because corrupted masses of parasites, produced by anti-white and extremely racist ';affirmative action'; as well as welfare - create the very base on which they all stand - true hussein's constituency.
its double standarded when we don't agree with a republican were considered unamericans
While this is an extreme opinion I think there some truth in the statement. Based on the amount of misinformation and lies which the Conservative/Republican media has been pushed into the mainstream there comes a point when you are forced to ask how can someone be so misinformed.
When you dig deeper you find that some (not many or all) but some of these individuals have an anti-Obama sentiment for no tangible reason - they prefer to discuss the relevance of the birth certificate issue, his socialist agenda etc - but at the root of the problem - what is really there?
It is only an opinion but I think that this falls under racism, to believe that America is beyond race is simply false and Obama will never be fully supported by the complete American population even if he turns around the country, clams the terrorist activities and fears, and improved the quality of life for all Americans - he will still be negatively considered by some - so as I said - you are forced to as what is really there?

Those ';leaders'; of this opposition, Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck, are doing all they can to insure that every racist fear these people have is brought to their attention.
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2009/9/13/781507/-Get-over-it-racists!Does this Daily Kos poster calling everyone who disagrees w/ Obama a racist epitomize a Y/A Oboma supporter?

Did you see the daily Kos article asking for help because Dems are in freefall for premidterm elections?

What do you think?Did you see the daily Kos article asking for help because Dems are in freefall for premidterm elections?
I think the term ';free fall'; is Republican rhetoric of what they want to believe. The Gallup Poll had President Obama at 57% approval on June 17. And today it was 56%. I think when health care reform passes it will set up the Republicans for more losses in 2010. I think the article referenced shows some serious lack of being current and paying attention.Did you see the daily Kos article asking for help because Dems are in freefall for premidterm elections?
Chris Dodd is trailing badly in his bid for reelection against Rob Simmons?
Barbara Boxer in California, who is in a very tight race with Carly Fiorina.?
Republicans are likely to win the New Jersey governors race in a landslide and are likely to sweep the top three offices in Virginia, including the governorship?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
This is FANTASTIC NEWS

This comes as no surprise, socialism is not what Americans want. Sean cites Gallup, which was as far as accuracy goes, was near the bottom among national pollsters on their record in Election 2008 according to research by a Fordham University professor.
Rasmussen, rated 1st, currently has him below 50%.

It means we have to organize even harder to beat them. I'm sure their party will be funding all kinds of ad campaigns for them. The desperation is going to make for some nasty ads.

Amazing, Daily KOS writers are complaining about the vile things being written about Hillary, what about Bush?
According to the Drudge Report some writers for the extreme left wing blog site are complaining that they are taking abuse from other bloggers. Wow! Do you think they should apologize for some of the things they have written about G. Bush in the very recent past?
That is the daily KOS; vile, disgusting cartoons about Bush, Rove, Cheney, Rice...
Liberals are such a brutal, nasty bunch of people under their facade of caring, feeling, niceness. The real face of liberalism you might say.
Yes, I'm sure that many will object to what I say and will say bad things about me but they won't be able to defend against what I say or what they have done.Amazing, Daily KOS writers are complaining about the vile things being written about Hillary, what about Bush?
They are the epitome of the saying ';You can dish it out,but

Liberals live on one way streets.
Yes it is amazing that Daily KOS is complaining about arguments that they disagree with and promoting arguments against Bush that they think are accurate! Why would anyone do that? Goodness me!!!
Ape Hanger is absolutely correct!
The difference is what they say about Bush is that it is legitimate area for criticism---it is POLICY criticism. The slime against Hillary is mere vitriol about murders, drugs, rape---it's insane.
Liberals live in a incestuous world; everything they place belief in has already been tried and proven faulty.
Marxism kills.
They believe in the saying, ';If you have nothing nice to say, say something to make yourself look really, really stupid.'; It's actually their motto...

Look what I found on the Daily Kos website.?
A liberal who is willing to admit that many of the problems within our educational system stems from the Teachers Unions. I鈥檓 shocked.
1. Education. At present most inner-city public schools have drop-out rates of over 50%. And for those that don't drop out they are not prepared to succeed in college. But the problem does not end there. In highly educated rich Boulder Colorado for example, only 50% of the 10th graders are proficient in math.
We no longer have an economy with plenty of jobs for those with just a high school education and additional jobs for those that did not complete high school. Not just the good jobs, but most jobs period are there for those with a college degree.
We cannot address the problems we face today and will face tomorrow without fixing our school system. And we cannot compete with India and China if we don't improve our education system.
And we, as liberals, must face the fact that we will have to fight the teacher unions to fix the system. The teacher unions are not the only problem. But they are a large barrier to fixing this and they in many places have a stranglehold on those from the left that need to fix the system.
My question is:
Do you believe that any of the Democratic forerunners are willing to meet this problem head-on, or will they shy away because the Teachers Unions are the largest, strongest, and carry more clout than any of the other unions?
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2007/8鈥?/a>Look what I found on the Daily Kos website.?
It's the first time I've heard a Liberal say this. (The rest of the article came from the Liberal Handbook written 30 years ago.) They've been in charge. Guess who's in charge of most of the inner city schools. Guess who's in charge of most of our public schools. Liberals! There solution has always been to throw money at problems. So here's our plan: tax the citizens until they flee our city! Good plan.
All of us have seen these so and so cities pay so and so amount per child to educate. Typically, the worse school districts spend the most per child.
The Federal government needs to get out of the education business. Grants, loans, programs, everything. Give all the monies back to the States and let local government regain control of our schools. No more letters from my kids saying you need to be to school on Monday so we can get our full allotment of money from Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. It's our money and they don't need to touch it.Look what I found on the Daily Kos website.?
Most of ALL our problems nowadays stem from unions.
Why do you think Toyota is making as much money as GM is losing? Because they hire union workers, and have to pay them twice as much.

It's not surprising, Democrats are good at looking at all sides of an issue, and they look at more than one factor.
No, they will not stand up to the teacher's unions, but, then again, when has any politician?
On education, what no one has mentioned is that we have taken personal responsibility out of schools. we do not hold students, parents or teachers accountable for education. By doing the pass them because if we don't it will hurt their self-esteem has also helped dumb down the educational process. I do not understand how no child left behind has ';dumb'; downed our educational system By holding schools and teachers responsible for doing their job is not dumbing down. What is wrong with having schools reach minimum standards? Just throwing money at the problem will not fix it, there has to be rewards and punishments if standards are nt met.
Well, I went to the site and read it for myself. No where in that article does he make the case as to WHY the teachers unions are the problems. He doesn't make a credible case for this issue in the small paragraph he writes about it. In other words, he doesn't pose any connections between these problems with schools and how the teachers unions are involved with holding these schools back. This isn't a very credible article that you pose. It's pretty over generalized and weak. Good luck blaming teachers however instead of posing real solutions. It's an argument straight out of an 8 year olds play book. ';He did it'; ';NO, he did it';, ';No, I swear he's to blame';, ';No, he is';. Blah blah blah it all tastes like chicken.
If it is the teacher's union, please point out exact examples of how it is linked. And, don't provide the old cliche that they don't fire bad teachers. Because I know for a fact that just is not true.
I'm 100% behind Delphi on this. And, my point of view is from behind the front lines as well.

The truth is the use of birth control pills cause the ability of children born after its use to be of a much lower IQ . This drug was tested on lab rats and showed that the offspring often could not complete the maze .
Thats why private educational institutions push parents to teach abstinence as the only birth control to use .
The use of the pill was a government program to create workers who would not be dissatisfied with mundane repetitive tasks .
Lower educated students who would accept jobs that needed to be done . Like garbage pickup and yard work and generally stocking a shelf and what made things really take off are bar codes and now people do not even need to add anything which they would have trouble doing after completing high school these days .
i was able to call up the link and was shocked to find it there also. they will not take on the teacher's union, it is far too strong and in my opinion is one of the most critical reasons our current education system is failing our children and our future.
';We cannot address the problems we face today and will face tomorrow without fixing our school system. And we cannot compete with India and China if we don't improve our education system.
And we, as liberals, must face the fact that we will have to fight the teacher unions to fix the system. The teacher unions are not the only problem. But they are a large barrier to fixing this and they in many places have a stranglehold on those from the left that need to fix the system.';
i personally believe the voucher systems would be best so that parents could chose where to send their children, then schools would have to compete and those who failed, like in any business, would be eliminated.
charter shcools have had miraculous success and should tell public education that just throwing more money at them is not going to fix their problems.
America's Government Indoctrination Centers - another example of the great accomplishments of socialism.

Hey Everybody - ';Fly Over'; works at Honeywell !!
-
I am lucky enough to say that I have three children who all attended and graduated from high school with the ability to read and write. My oldest, a daughter, did attend college and is still taking classes part time (since she has now become a wife and mother) to get a degree in Nursing. My second child, a son, chose the service after participating in ROTC in his high school years and is serving as a Chaplains Assistant in Iraq. My youngest finished high school..and has no desire to aquire a higher degree. She is married, her and her husband both have full time jobs, a house, two cars..and appear to be doing well with their choice of occupations. I believe the reason that my children succeeded as they have is because of their family support....not because of their teachers. I see this arguement all the time where someone wants to blame the teachers or the school district, etc...for the poor level of education afforded our children in this day and time. My question: what are the parents doing to make sure their children are getting the education they need? How closely do the parents follow their childs education and know what level they are on?? If the drop-out rate is 50%, then there is a failure occuring not at school but in the home....parents who want the best for their children do not ALLOW these children to drop out unless they themselves are less educated than their own children. Don't blame it all on the teachers or the teachers union....the education of children starts at home with a parent who takes the time to be involved in their childs education.
If you are worried about your schools, look into the Coordinated School Health and School of the 21st Century programs.
Schools that run these programs are able to stabilize test scores while at the same time lowering their drop out rates to below 10%
Look them up, they are worth your time.
It's a great example of how a failing political system and unions have been allowed to hurt our children and our country. Thanks for posting this.
There are some common threads here.
Unions are socialist organizations. If you are in one getting fired for incompetence, and particularly the teachers union, it is next to impossible. When a school must get rid of a BAD teacher they do not fire them, they transfer them to another school
As long as the Democrats pander to socialism and these types of organizations the schools WILL NOT CHANGE.
If you want real change, real improvement, privatize the schools, let the free market address the needs and then you would see this entire mess essentially disappear, and once again the US would lead the world in this area.
Socialism fails, every time, when are people going to wake and see this.
Of course you know for the socialist whackos, you have just quoted their source du jour for all knowledge and positions.
Again. I am on the front lines of education. Many of you want to make the teachers and their unions the fall guys. It goes much deeper than this. Real sick of the teachers taking crap from people who aren't living it.
Teachers should not have the ability to strike.
Neither should:
Firefighters.
Police.
Military.
I admit many area's teacher's salaries are a joke, but then many public school teachers are a joke themselves. For all of the hard-working, dedicated teachers, I would apologize but this is not a comment on the majority of teachers, I would love to see you get a raise. I would also like to see the ability to remove a pupil from public schools if it is determined they have ';no desire'; to complete school or after a certain number of failures. But until pay can be related to merit, I don't have much sympathy, because there are too many over-payed worthless teachers that cannot be fired.
Good to see it. Admitting you have a problem is half the battle.
here's some common ground for real bi-partisan work, regardless of who's in office, but we have to stop thinking things can significantly change from the top. this is more of a local problem. it's our own neighbors on the school boards and in the local govt's that are soaking us. but you're right -the dnc will not drop it's support of any union, especially the teacher's.
Yes, Suthrnlyts you're quite right in regards to our public education system being in shambles.
Now you have two Liberals to bash:-)
You do include but don't emphasize the unions aren't the only obstruction to progressive education.
Affirmative action has caused the educational level to recede as well as various Republican policies such as ,';No child left behind'; responsible for dumbing down America's youth. Our own grandchildren go to private schools to give them an education compatible to our standards. My wife and I chip in to help the kids afford this luxury but we consider the efforts worth it. I do support unions and really don't think they are to be demonized as much as you evidently do. There are many factors besides the ones that you and I have mentioned that contribute to the poor standards of public education in this country.
1. Education. At present most inner-city public schools have drop-out rates of over 50%. And for those that don't drop out they are not prepared to succeed in college.
And we, as liberals, must face the fact that we will have to fight the teacher unions to fix the system. The teacher unions are not the only problem. But they are a large barrier to fixing this and they in many places have a stranglehold on those from the left that need to fix the system.';
i personally believe the voucher systems would be best so that parents could chose where to send their children, then schools would have to compete and those who failed, like in any business, would be eliminated.
charter shcools have had miraculous success and should tell public education that just throwing more money at them is not going to fix their problems.
America's Government Indoctrination Centers - another example of the great accomplishments of socialism.

DAILY KOS CO-AUTHOR FINED $30K FOR UNETHICAL STOCK TOUT - who besides NO ONE is shocked by this?

Prominent liberal blogger Jerome Armstrong has agreed to pay nearly $30,000 in fines in a settlement with the Securities and Exchange Commission over allegations that Armstrong touted the stock of a software company, without disclosing that he was being paid to do so, the NY TIMES reports.
Armstrong is the co-author of _Crashing the Gate: Netroots, Grassroots, and the Rise of People-Powered Politics,_ with Markos Moulitsas of Daily Kos. He is also the founder of the Democratic activist site MyDD.com.DAILY KOS CO-AUTHOR FINED $30K FOR UNETHICAL STOCK TOUT - who besides NO ONE is shocked by this?
I'm certainly not shocked. Of course we all KNOW that liberals are all upfront and honest. Right?DAILY KOS CO-AUTHOR FINED $30K FOR UNETHICAL STOCK TOUT - who besides NO ONE is shocked by this?
Who cares. The SEC fines people all the time. Nobody has a monopoly on ethics.
The last thing I am is shocked. He is a liberal, I expect deviant, self serving behavior from liberals. What shocks me, is that more liberals haven't come to his defense and claim that Republicans have been doing something much worse, and that we are just after the liberals. Well there is still time for them to do that, so maybe I won't be shocked after all.
No one should be shocked. People on all sides of the political landscape are just as likely to be either corrupt as any other person, right? And I'm sure that carelessness when it comes to legal issues is pretty widespread, as well.
And anyways, I'm not sure it really matters. Liberalism isn't a cult, where everything is based on the perceived flawless nature of our ';Perfect and benevolent leaders.'; People on our side do screw up, especially people like Jerome Armstrong, who most everybody has never heard of.
A criminal who aligns himself with a political cause does not proves that that cause is invalid or inherently corrupt. If that were the case, then every cause would have proven itself invalid by now.
You mean like when bush paid those ';journalists'; to write pieces in NEWSPAPERS pushing his educational programs?

Apparently bush had his hand in the till to push the agenda of the Agricultural Department, too.

Gee. How many ethical and legal statutes broken for the President of the United States to use TAXPAYERS' DOLLARS for blatant propaganda pushing his own administration's agenda?

And who could forget bush paying journalists to PLANT stories in the Iraqi press?

“This time, someone really does have to be fired. The revelation that Defense Department money, not even authorized by Congress for the purpose, has been outsourced to private interests and then used to plant stories in the Iraqi press is much more of a disgrace and a scandal than anyone seems so far to have said.
It helps discredit free media in Iraq at a time when that profession is very new and very hazardous (and one of the unarguable moral gains of the original intervention). In a situation already dominated by rumor and conspiracy-mongering, and in a country rife with death squads, it exposes every honest Iraqi reporter to the charge that he or she is an agent of a foreign power. Who at the Pentagon could possibly have needed to have this explained to them?”

And then, of course, you've got the whole issue of JOURNALISTS WRITING FOR THE MILITARY for money. It's starting to really stink in here:
“The Web sites are examples of what the military calls “information operations,” or programs designed to influence public opinion by countering what the Pentagon considers to be misinformation or lies that circulate in the international news media. The Pentagon’s use of the Web sites has raised questions about blurring the lines between legitimate news and what some would call government propaganda.”

Daily kos question.?
do they really see themselves as fair and opened minded. i took their offer to just read and see for myself. the very first blog i read spoke of anal sex for bill oreilly and the whole blog did nothing but berate and make very vulgar accusations. i spent about an hour on the site and i see it as an x-rated site of bad adult humor. question- does anyone see anything positive that come from this site and should the dems go to their convention? no haters please.Daily kos question.?
You have hit on the exact reason why none of the democrat candidates should be elected president. The dems are going on a pander fest to the extremist left. It is good to see that they arent hiding their socialist views. This is beyond the pail i read the trash they put on their site and all I can say it is clear the left hates more than the right.
Funny how liberals who are ';open minded'; can not see the ignorance in their own bedDaily kos question.?
There is no need for vulgarity, wheather about democrats or republicans. Some people have nothing better to do with there time I guess, than to come up with this bad attempt at humor.Dems should go to theconventio, this is America, people have the final vote.God Bless.

Did anyone see nightline tonight Daily Kos thing?
www.dailykos.com
Has anyone been following that blog? I just heard about it.Did anyone see nightline tonight Daily Kos thing?
yes I did.
I dunno but when I see that man I think very negative things, there is something about him I do not trust and the way he carries himself.
but he is fully equipped because he's been in the military and he had to escape el salvador as a child so he knows about things the general public takes for granted.

Daily Kos attacks?
Is the the recent attacks against the DailKos website justified? Futhermore are the attacks against the Dems and other peolpe assoiated with the website warented?Daily Kos attacks?
It is just the latest attack against the left by the right.
There is always someone at the top of the '; hit '; list .
It was Rosie . For months the Republican National Committee actually included her in there talking points memo which comes out daily. I actually saw a copy .
I could not believe that Rosie had become such a matter of grave national importance she had to be included in such a memo everyday but there she was .
And this went on until the Right Wing Media was sufficiently whipped into a frenzy and Rosie eventually left.
Now it's the target has changed to the Daily Kos. Do they deserve it , of course not . They are just doing what political bloggers on both sides do no more no less.Daily Kos attacks?
Yes. Hate in cyberspace is still hate.
For a conservative, ';hate'; is anything that they disagree with.
