How often do all House Republicans (plus about 100 Dems) plus the Daily Kos agree on a bill? HR 1207 S 604?

These bills would require a REAL audit of the Fed, even the parts current law forbids Congress from reviewing.

Here are a few excerpts from the article by a guy who refers to my sort of person as a 'Ron Paul wingnut' -- first he recognizes it is disturbing that Goldman Sachs, sitting at the center of the banking controversy, and a prime donor to Obama will clean up with carbon credits in cap and trade, then says:

';Basically, the thesis is that the Federal reserve has handed out over 8.7 trillion of our money since last October alone, and we're not even allowed to ask who it went to. In fact no one, including Barack Obama, knows where it went. Because it's a secret society. Made of bankers and lizard people. As the video makes quite clear, this is problematic politically for Obama, because he wants to give reserve full regulatory powers to restructure the financial industry.

So, yeah, Mr. President, Mr. Summers, I'm a little concerned.

Then we find out about this effort by the democrats in Congress, diaried here to kill the legislation [ S 604 the Senate version of the Audit the Fed Bill ] to find out where that money went. No doubt with the President's support. Having just seen the video above [ http://www.thenation.com/doc/20090720/fe… ] 24 hours prior to this happening, yeah.

You could say I'm a little bit ashamed to be a democrat.

Proud of Bernie Sanders, though. If he agrees with Ron Paul on this one, it must be bigger than any political party.';

What do you think?How often do all House Republicans (plus about 100 Dems) plus the Daily Kos agree on a bill? HR 1207 S 604?
I agree with it as well. I hope it passes in the House and Senate by big enough majorities that Obama has no choice but to sign it or have his veto overturned.

The Feds and the big banks are spending a lot of money on lobbyists to defeat this.How often do all House Republicans (plus about 100 Dems) plus the Daily Kos agree on a bill? HR 1207 S 604?
';No doubt with the President's support'; you lost all credibility with that assumption, then you compound it by saying ';all house republicans'; are onboard. That's patently false.

It's a good idea, but why do you have to lie and exaggerate and make unsubstantiated claims to try to prove your point?
It is now beyond obvious that the Federal Reserve needs to go. It's fantastic that it is even receiving some criticism from the opposite side of the isle now. And it is much more than a partisan issue.

Barney Frank (D) once said,

“If you take the principles that people are talking about nowadays, such as reforming government and opening up government — the Fed violates it more than any other branch of government.”

And Dick Durbin (D) once said,

';And the banks -- hard to believe in a time when we're facing a banking crisis that many of the banks created -- are still the most powerful lobby on Capitol Hill. And they frankly own the place.';
