If you don't remember what happened to Bill Clinton, let me remind you: he came in with a mandate to reform health care. The GOP changed the subject to teh gayz in teh military. The Village played into the GOP's hand, repeating their messages. Bill Clinton took major wounds, his presidency was gimped, and we had 7 years of incrementalism and rear guard actions after that.

I remember that the Health Care deal was in Clinton's first term and that he still got reelected, getting almost 10% more of the popular vote than Dole.





I would reject your claim that Clinton had any mandate to reform health care, he only got 43% of the popular vote, Bush and Perot got 57%. The rest of your comments are also dubious.
I'm glad you are admitting the right's tactics, when they want attention, they bring out the gay issue and it is true, the right certainly doesn't care about the health of the American people. Why are you proud of that?
